Rebates are available for upgrading to higher efficiency lighting equipment.
Lighting is a large part of the energy use in a commercial building. Depending on the type of activity, the cost of lighting and removing the heat the lights produce in a typical office building may account for up to 40 percent of a utility bill.
Often the choice for greater efficiency means better color; lower maintenance and less flicker and glare too.
Other non-residential efficiency improvements are eligible for a rebate of $0.20 per first year kilowatt-hour saved, based on either approved engineering calculations or actual before and after metering of the project.
Rebates are capped at 70% of actual costs. This includes retrofit custom projects and new construction custom projects.
Projects must be submitted and approved prior to purchasing or installing any equipment.
