Applications for employment will generally be accepted only when there is an opening within the PUD and only from individuals who are qualified for open positions. From time-to-time, when it is determined that certain positions are difficult to fill because of a shortage of qualified persons, applications and resumes will be accepted and retained prior to the occurrence of an opening.

Applications are being accepted for the following Positions:

JOURNEYMEN LINEMEN: All applicants must hold a journeyman lineman's card, be able to pass a physical examination, a written technical knowledge examination and a practical test, possess or be able to obtain a Washington state class "A" commercial driver's license in order to operate utility trucks and have a good driving record. Successful applicants must be willing to live within 30 minutes of operations headquarters and be available for after-hours call out.

STUDENT TRAINEE: Part-time positions within the utility are available from time-to-time for full-time high school or college students. Position duties range from clerical to laborer. The student employment program at the PUD is designed to afford practical experience in the workplace, encourage continuing education and to assist with educational expenses.
