Engineering

The Mason County PUD No. 3 Engineering Department employs approximately twenty people and is divided into three departments: maintenance engineering, service engineering, and system engineering. Each department has a specific role, however, interdepartmental project coordination and assistance is routine. The PUD3 Engineering Department’s primary function is:

• Assisting consumers with new and altered electric service connects and other services.
• Foster good relations with consumers to help meet their needs.
• Working with consumers to resolve problems such as blinking lights, low voltage, etc.
• Develop construction and maintenance schedules and procedures to provide safe and reliable electric service.
• To contribute to the effective operation of the PUD by providing the best possible electric service for the most reasonable cost.
