Low income discounts

PUD 3 offers a low-income discount for senior citizens. Seniors, age 62 and over who are permanent, year-round customers of PUD 3, whose annual disposable income is $25,000 or less and who do not live in federally subsidized housing may qualify. The discount amounts to the removal of the $.48 daily customer charge, which is approximately $14.40 a month. A senior citizen discount application form is available in the PUD offices.

PUD 3 also offers a discount for low-income disabled persons, which also removes the $.48 daily customer charge. To qualify, the PUD account must be in the name of the disabled person. The customer cannot live in federally subsidized housing and must be a permanent, year-round customer of Mason County PUD 3.
