Public Utility District No. 3 of Mason County is
operated by a three member board of commissioners. The county is divided into
three commissioner districts, each having approximately an equal number of
voters. One commissioner is elected from each of the three districts every two
years and each serves a six-year term. The board of commissioners serves the PUD
to establish policy, review operations, and approve plans, budgets and
expenditures. The legal responsibilities and powers of the District, including
the establishment of rates and charges for services rendered, are exercised by
the board. The commissioners hold a regular meeting on
every Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. The meetings are held
in the PUD 3 commission board room at 307 W. Cota in Shelton. The public is welcome to
attend.
The current PUD commissioners (pictured left to right) are Linda Gott, President;
Bruce Jorgenson, Vice-President; and John Whalen, Secretary.
